Your Pixel 5 should support eSIM
Let's ensure it's not restricted to any specific carrier or network.
- Open Settings on your Google device.
- Navigate to "Network & Internet".
- Look for "Mobile network" or "SIM cards" (depending on your device).
If you see an option for "eSIM cards" or "Add eSIM profile", your device is likely unlocked for eSIM.
Please note, certain carriers may have policies preventing unlocking within the initial six months of use.
*The following Google Pixel devices DO NOT have eSIM capability:
- Devices originating from China, Hong Kong, and Macao do not support eSIM functionality.
- Pixel 3 models originating from Australia, Taiwan, and Japan, and those purchased with service from US or Canadian carriers other than Sprint and Google Fi.
- Pixel 3a models purchased in South East Asia and with Verizon service.
